The drawing is irregular on purpose. Lines vary in weight and the spacing is not quite even, so the wall keeps the feel of something made by hand rather than printed to a grid. The natural ground shows through everywhere the pigment is thin, which softens the whole and stops the pattern from reading as graphic.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eRolls are 91 centimetres wide and 10.97 metres long, with an 80 centimetre vertical repeat, so allow generously when you calculate drops. Four colourways are offered: Jasper White, Tempest, Indigo and Paprika. Jasper White is the near-neutral, Tempest a mid grey, Indigo the deep blue we use for enclosed rooms, and Paprika the warm red that changes most between daylight and lamplight. Panel-to-panel colour variation comes with a natural-fibre ground and is worth planning for, and reversing alternate drops spreads it evenly across the wall.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWe would put Boheme in a snug, a study or a guest bedroom, where a pattern with some movement in it is welcome. It sits well with plain linen at the window and a flatweave rug, and we would avoid a second pattern in the same room. In Indigo or Paprika it wants warm lamplight rather than a bright overhead fitting. Order a sample to see it in your own light.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eHang it paste-the-wall, butting the drops and never overlapping, and keep paste off the face, as a natural-fibre ground cannot be sponged clean. Match the pattern at eye level before smoothing each drop down, since an 80 centimetre repeat is unforgiving of a drift. Order every roll from a single batch and check the batch number on each label as it arrives.
