The Martindale rub test puts it at 30,000, rated general domestic, which covers curtains, blinds, headboards and seating in normal use. There are 36 colourways, among them Creme, Natural, Cement, French Grey, Foresta and Indigo — a spread that runs from bare plaster tones through greys and greens to proper blues and a small group of warm earths.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWe use Lexington on upholstery where the shape matters: a tight-back sofa, a dining chair, a window seat. It takes a piped edge cleanly and does not pucker. At the window it makes calm full-length curtains, and it is a good partner for a patterned wallcovering, taking a single tone out of it and holding the room steady. Cotton this dense benefits from a little extra allowance on upholstery so the cloth can be pulled properly over foam without strain. For full-length curtains we would line and interline; the cloth hangs well on its own, but interlining softens the fold.
