The wool and viscose give it a soft, slightly heathered surface; the cotton, linen and nylon give it body and wear. It is the cloth in the collection we would put on the chair that gets sat in every evening.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe composition is 38 per cent wool, 24 per cent viscose, 15 per cent cotton, 8 per cent nylon, 7 per cent linen, 7 per cent polyester and 1 per cent acrylic. It is 135 centimetres wide, tested to 31,000 rubs on the Martindale scale, and recommended for curtains, loose and fixed upholstery and bedspreads. There are four colourways: Nutmeg, Teal, Green and Ochre, each a single colour worked with a lighter yarn. Nutmeg is the quiet, useful one; Green is the country one.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe use it on club chairs and wing chairs, on an ottoman that doubles as a table, and on the outside backs and arms of a sofa fronted in one of the Garden Party florals. It is also a good curtain cloth for a study or a boot room, unfussy and warm. It pairs with the Shetland Plaid paper or a plain wool on the walls. It takes piping well, cut on the straight.
