The viscose gives the cloth a soft lustre and a fluid, heavier drape than a plain linen would have, while the linen keeps the hand dry enough that the print sits crisply on the surface rather than sinking into it. It reads as a print for a house that does not take itself too seriously.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe cloth is 67 per cent viscose and 33 per cent linen, 138 centimetres wide, with a 98 centimetre vertical repeat and a full-width horizontal one, so each width carries the whole design across it without a seam showing through the motif. It is recommended for curtains, loose and fixed upholstery and bedspreads. There are four colourways: Woodsmoke is the smoky, easy neutral; Plum and Antique sit at the warmer end; and Teal is the coolest, the one we reach for first in a garden room.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe would put this on a pair of curtains in a garden room or a playroom that backs onto the garden, or on a window seat where children end up sitting more than the adults do.
