Boscobel wants a room where it can be hung on every wall and the furniture kept plain and slightly old-fashioned: a bedroom with a brass bed, a bathroom with a roll-top, a country kitchen. It takes a plain painted or dark-stained woodwork and looks best with linen or velvet rather than another print.
