The ground is a plain, matt cotton with no finish, so the print sits crisply and the colour stays true from a distance. It reads as a small-scale botanical rather than a formal floral, which keeps it easy to place.
It is 100 per cent cotton, 136 centimetres wide, with a 14 centimetre vertical and 17 centimetre horizontal repeat. No Martindale figure is published for this design, and Baker Lifestyle rate it for curtains, loose and fixed upholstery and bedspreads. It comes in a single colourway, Soft Blue, a gentle mid-blue that behaves as a workable background colour rather than a strong accent.
We use a cloth like this for curtains in a bedroom or a garden room, where a soft, consistent colour matters more than a bold pattern, and on a bedspread or a skirted dressing table where the repeat can sit quietly.
