Flowing ornamental lines give Gustav by Casamance its distinctive rhythm. Drawing on Gustav Klimt and the Vienna Secession, the design places emphasis on the relationship between line and finish. Two layers combine an iridescent effect with chalk or metallic lacquer, depending on the version, allowing the surface to shift between softness and reflected light.
Each roll is 70 cm wide and 10.05 m long. The non-woven base is hung by pasting the wall, using a straight match with a 64 cm vertical repeat. Gustav has a washable finish and can be removed by dry stripping.
