de Le Cuona | African Engraved Table No.6 – Brown

The African Engraved Table No.6 from de Le Cuona is a small piece of furniture in a warm brown, and the engraving is what gives it its character. Surface decoration of this kind catches the light at an angle and changes through the day, so the table has more presence than its scale suggests. We think of it as an object as much as a place to put a cup, something that rewards a closer look and sits well among softer, plainer furnishings.

We do not have confirmed dimensions, materials or finish for this piece in front of us, and we would rather say so than guess. The de Le Cuona reference is AET12. Please ask us for the exact height, diameter or footprint, the construction and the finish before you plan a room around it, as these are the figures that decide where it will sit and how it will be used.

We would use it beside a sofa or armchair as a side table, where its warm tone sits comfortably against natural linen and wool. It could also stand in a hall, holding a lamp and a bowl for keys, or in a reading corner within reach of a chair. For pairing, we like it with plain, textured upholstery that lets the engraving stand apart, and with ceramics or a lamp in muted, matt finishes so the surface detail remains the focus.

On the practical side, check the dimensions against the space and against the height of your seating before ordering, so it works as a side table rather than sitting awkwardly. Ask us whether any assembly is required and how it is packed. Keep it out of direct sun and away from radiators to protect the finish, and use coasters under hot or wet items. Dust it with a soft dry cloth, and ask us for care advice specific to the finish.
