This is a throw made from baby alpaca, a fibre we like for the way it combines real softness with warmth without becoming heavy in the hand. In cream it is as plain and neutral as a throw gets, which makes it useful in almost any room, whatever the fabric scheme running underneath it. It is a finishing piece rather than a structural one, brought in at the end of a scheme to add another layer of texture at low cost of visual noise.
It is 130 cm wide, sold as each, made in baby alpaca. That width is generous enough to fold once and still cover the width of most sofa arms or the foot of a bed, without needing to stretch it thin to get coverage.
We use it folded over the back of a sofa, laid across the end of a bed, or kept over the arm of a favourite reading chair for cold evenings. It works well against linen upholstery, wool carpet and pale wood furniture, adding softness rather than pattern.
