The yarn is long-fibre linen, spun for strength, which is why the cloth can take that much washing and still return 26,000 rubs on the Martindale test. It drapes loosely, so it suits unlined or interlined curtains where you want movement at the hem, and it is robust enough for a headboard or a loose-covered chair.
