Elizabeth Paisley is a cushion for people who like pattern but want it handled with some restraint. Paisley can easily feel busy or traditional, and here the motif is kept soft and the finish is taken in a more modern direction by the suede trim around the edge. The trim adds a second texture and a clean, defined outline, which stops the pattern from drifting. Partridge is a warm, earthy colourway, the brown-grey of feathers and dry leaves, with enough depth to hold its own against plainer linens and wools around it.

The cushion is sold individually and measures 55 cm in width, a comfortable mid-size that works on most sofas and armchairs without overwhelming them. Some practical advice.
