de Le Cuona | Petra Bed Throw with Diamond Detailing – Alabaster

The Petra throw in Alabaster is a pale, finished piece for the end of a bed, with a diamond detail worked into the surface that gives it quiet structure without turning it into a pattern. In a white or stone bedroom it adds depth through texture alone, which is how we prefer to layer a bed. Alabaster is a soft, warm off-white, gentler than a bright white and easier to live with next to natural linen and wool.

It is sold each, and is 130 cm wide, from de Le Cuona, whose throws and cloths we have used on many projects. The code is PTR1T. The supplier has not given us the length, fibre content or care instructions for this piece, and we would rather not guess at any of them. We would fold it across the foot of a bed dressed in white or oatmeal linen, letting the diamond detail show along the edge. It also works over the arm of a sofa or the back of a reading chair, where it can be pulled around the shoulders on a cold evening. In a guest room we would pair it with a heavier wool blanket in a deeper tone and a single cushion in a contrasting texture, such as boucle or washed velvet.

As this is a finished throw, there is no making up, but a few practical points help. Check the full dimensions with us against your bed, as a throw intended to hang over the foot needs more length than one used as a decorative stripe. Keep it out of direct sun to protect the pale colour, and follow the care guidance we confirm for you. Fold rather than hang it, so the weight of the cloth does not pull it out of shape.
