This is a throw we bring in when a room needs weight and warmth rather than another cushion. It is woven from wool, with the kind of dense, slightly nubbled hand that de Le Cuona does well, and it drapes with real substance rather than sliding about on a sofa arm. The moss colourway is a deep, quiet green that reads as neutral against most schemes, which is why we find it earns its place in rooms that already have pattern elsewhere and simply need something to ground them.
The throw is sold as each, and measures 140cm in width. We do not have a length figure to hand for this piece, so we would confirm the full dimensions before specifying it for a particular length of sofa or bed. It is made by de Le Cuona, a house whose textiles we return to for their handle as much as their colour.
We would fold this over the arm of a sofa in a sitting room, lay it across the foot of a bed, or drape it over the back of a reading chair beside a lamp. It sits particularly well against linen upholstery and worn leather, and we would pair it with a wool or linen cushion in a warm neutral rather than a matching green, so the throw stays the focal point rather than disappearing into a set.
There is little making-up involved with a throw of this kind, but we would still check the finished width against the piece of furniture it is meant for, since 140cm can look generous on an armchair and comparatively modest across a wide sofa. We would air it before use, brush any loose fibre from the surface, and keep it away from direct sun over long periods, as wool in a strong, natural green can fade unevenly on a windowsill or south-facing chair.
