Waterlily is a weighty linen with an embroidered border running down the edges of the cloth, a stylised lotus taken from classical European textiles. Because the embroidery sits at the selvedge rather than across the width, it can be used as a leading-edge detail on curtains, or two panels can be mirrored to place the border symmetrically on a headboard or a pair of cushions. At 750 g per metre it hangs heavily and holds a fold, and at 15,000 rubs it suits light upholstery rather than a family sofa. Allow for the 55 cm vertical repeat when planning where the border falls.
