Material and colour irregularity is expressed in this canvas weave of linen and tussah silk. Inspiration is drawn from strong and traditional horsehair stripes, interpreted in soft light earthy tones and different shades of blue. Weft threads of varying density punctuate a multi-coloured barré stripe that traverses an open plain weave: the alternate use of different yarns confers rhythm, texture and a play of solids and voids. A width of 205 cm enables the creation of wide curtains with a soft drape.
