Rosie is a rose print from George & Minnie's first wallpaper volume, drawn in the brand's London studio for its 2026 launch. The roses are drawn with a light hand and given room to breathe, and the 45 centimetre repeat keeps the pattern moving up the wall without crowding it, so the effect is closer to a faded cottage chintz than a formal floral. It is a cheerful paper rather than a grand one, and it does a great deal to soften a boxy room.
It is printed on a 100 per cent non-woven ground, 52 centimetres wide, with a 45 centimetre vertical repeat. There are 6 colourways: Blush/Sage, Daffodil, Raspberry/Teal, Emerald, Walnut and Ink. Blush/Sage and Daffodil are the gentle ones for bedrooms; Raspberry/Teal, Emerald and Ink carry more pigment and hold up in a dining room or a hall, while Walnut is the one we would put with old timber and brass.
We tend to use Rosie on all four walls of a small bedroom, with the woodwork picked out in a colour lifted from the flowers and plain linen at the window, so the paper does the talking. It is also a good candidate for a downstairs cloakroom, where a roll or two makes a proper little room of it. Pair it with a gingham such as Checkmate on a headboard or a chair seat and the two settle together very easily. Sold by the roll; order a sample before committing to a full room.
Being non-woven, Rosie is hung paste-the-wall: paste the wall, offer up the dry lengths, butt the joins, and it trims cleanly and strips dry when the time comes. Allow for the 45 centimetre repeat when cutting drops so the roses line up across the seams. As a rough guide, a 4 metre wall at standard ceiling height takes around 3 rolls; measure up before ordering, and buy every roll from one batch so the colour matches across the room.
