Agra is the pattern that anchors the Caspian collection: a dense, formal medallion drawn in the ornamental language of Mughal textiles and printed across a fine, fluid ground. The repeat is generous at 77 by 64 centimetres, so the motif reads as a single composed design rather than a scattered print, and the fluid ground lets it fall in soft, even folds. It has the weight of an old document print without any of the stiffness.

The cloth is 60 per cent viscose, 26 per cent linen and 14 per cent rayon, a blend that gives it a soft, fluid hand with more movement than a pure linen. It is 128 centimetres wide with a 77 centimetre vertical and 64 centimetre horizontal repeat, and GP & J Baker specify it for curtains and bedspreads. There are two colourways, Fuchsia and Teal; Fuchsia is the warmer and more assertive of the two, and Teal sits quietly against stone, oak and brass.

We would hang it as full-length curtains in a dining room or a formal sitting room, where the medallion has room to sit flat and be read from across the room. It also makes a striking bedspread, with the pattern centred on the mattress, and a single cushion in the second colourway carries the design onto a plain sofa. With a 77 centimetre repeat, allow a full repeat per drop and plan the layout so a complete medallion falls at a comfortable eye height. Line and interline curtains; the viscose content benefits from the protection of an interlining in a sunny room.
