Flower Pot is a Kit Kemp design of potted flowers drawn in a naive, folk-art hand and set in an ordered repeat across the paper. It has the cheerfulness of a child's drawing and the discipline of a proper wallpaper: each pot sits in its place, so the wall reads as a pattern rather than a picture, and the eye can rest on it. The 27 centimetre repeat keeps it at a mid scale that suits most rooms. It is the friendliest design in the collection and the one we use most in family houses.
It is a non-woven, paste-the-wall paper on a standard 10 metre by 52 centimetre roll, with a 27 centimetre vertical repeat. Four colourways: Jewel, Blue/Green, Green/Pink and Plaster. Jewel is the multicoloured version and the most exuberant; Blue/Green and Green/Pink are two-colour readings that are easier to build a scheme around; Plaster is the soft, pale option for a bedroom.
We use it in children's rooms, in a downstairs cloakroom, and on a single wall in a kitchen breakfast area. It also makes a good guest bedroom paper with Cubby on the remaining walls, and it is a natural choice for a nursery that will need to grow up. Pair with plain linens in one of the pot colours. In a hallway it reads as a welcome rather than a statement. Sold by the roll; order a sample before committing to a full room.
Paste the wall, hang the drops dry and check the match on the label; allow a repeat per drop. A 3 metre wall at 2.4 metres high takes about 2 rolls. Keep the batch number the same across a room, and order a spare roll if the room has awkward returns. Rooms with a dado take it well above a plain painted panel.
