Jewel Indienne is a printed design from the Coromandel collection, its name recalling the Indienne printed cottons that first brought Indian floral motifs into European interiors from the seventeenth century onward. The pattern is set at a generous 69 by 46 centimetre repeat, giving the small-flowered motif real presence across a curtain or a chair back rather than reading as texture.
The cloth is 82 per cent viscose and 18 per cent linen, which gives the print a soft sheen over a linen-textured ground. It is 138 centimetres wide, with a 69 centimetre vertical and 46 centimetre horizontal repeat, and no rub count is stated, so treat it as suited to curtains and occasional rather than daily-use upholstery. Two colourways, Blue/Sand and Emerald; Blue/Sand is the quieter, more neutral option, Emerald the richer of the two.
We use it for curtains in a bedroom or sitting room, where the repeat has space to unfold across a generous drop, and it covers a chair or ottoman well at a smaller scale, close enough to read the flowers clearly. Pair Blue/Sand with warm timber and brass, and Emerald with darker woodwork and cream for a richer look. Sold by the half metre; order a sample to see it in your own light before you commit to a full run of curtains.
Allow a full 69 centimetre repeat per drop and match the print across widths so the motif continues cleanly at the seams and across joins. Line curtains as standard, and interline for a bright room to protect the printed colour from fading. As no rub count is given, keep upholstery to lightly used pieces rather than daily seating in a busy household.
