GP & J Baker | Pimlico

Pimlico is a small-scale print from the Portobello collection, GP & J Baker's take on relaxed country living with a slightly more sophisticated edge. The repeat is neat and almost square, 18 by 19 centimetres, so the pattern reads as an even, all-over print rather than a single motif you would place deliberately, and the pure linen ground gives it a natural, matte hand that takes the printed colour without any sheen. It is the sort of quiet print that furnishes a whole room without ever announcing itself.
