Trevone is a plain-woven texture from the Cosmopolitan Weaves range, close in construction to Netherton but finished in a single, quieter colourway. With no repeat to match, it behaves as a straightforward plain and is built to work as hard as it needs to on furniture in daily use. It is also cross-listed among the Essential Colour plains, which tells you how the House itself sees it: as a dependable, colour-carrying neutral rather than a design statement.

The composition is 45 per cent viscose, 35 per cent cotton, 16 per cent linen and 4 per cent polyester. It is 137 centimetres wide with no stated repeat, and GP & J Baker tested it to 30,000 Martindale rubs, which is rated for upholstery. There is one colourway, Mineral, a cool, stony grey-blue that sits between the collection's warmer and cooler neutrals.

We use it for a sofa, a pair of chairs or curtains in a scheme that needs a genuine neutral rather than a warm or cool statement. Pair it with almost any print or embroidery in the wider Cosmopolitan collection, since Mineral is designed to recede rather than lead, and it is a safe choice for a large piece you want to keep in a room for years regardless of what changes around it.
