Ananas builds stylised pineapples entirely from flowers, each fruit composed of colourful petals, and sets them on a background resembling grasscloth. The invention is typical of Matthew Williamson: one exotic object conjured out of another, held steady by a quiet, natural ground.
The pineapple has stood for welcome since the eighteenth century, which suits this design to halls, dining rooms, kitchens and garden rooms. The grasscloth-effect ground keeps the exuberance anchored, and plains complete it. A 150gsm paper, made in the United Kingdom.
