Matthew Williamson | Azari

Azari is a stylised evocation of peacock feathers in monochrome line drawing, set on a contrasting linen union ground and named after a style of architecture. The single-colour treatment distils the plumage to structure, eye and quill drawn as pure pattern on cloth.

A blend of 53% linen and 35% cotton with polyamide, 140 centimetres wide, it carries a rub test result of 100,000, which makes it a thoroughly hard-working upholstery cloth as well as a composed one for curtains, blinds and cushions. Made in the United Kingdom.
