Salsa is a plain velvet of real substance, the pile deep and even so the cloth does its work through touch and light rather than pattern. Velvet is the most responsive of plains: every seat and every shadow registers on the surface, then brushes away.
Woven in Italy from viscose and cotton with polyester, it is 140 centimetres wide and 614gsm. A rub test result of 100,000 makes it a genuinely hard-working upholstery velvet, equally at ease on sofas, chairs, cushions and curtains.
