Altai is a small-scale geometric, the motif drawn tight and repeated evenly so the cloth works as pattern at close range and as texture across a room, which is precisely what a small geometric is for. It is offered in nine colourways, a sign of how much of the collection it was built to serve.
It is woven in Italy from viscose and linen with polyester and cotton, 140 centimetres wide and substantial at 510 grams per square metre.
Rated at 25,000 Martindale rubs, it suits everyday chairs, stools and cushions, and it upholsters small pieces particularly well, where the tight repeat wraps neatly.
