Birdcage Walk sets songbirds and gilt cages on trailing branches, named after the famous approach to Buckingham Palace. The conceit is an old decorative favourite, birds at liberty among the cages that fail to hold them, and the gilt detailing gives the pattern small points of brightness along the trail.
