Nina Campbell | Chelwood

Chelwood is a floral garland of wild carnations, painted with a loose, fresh hand so the flowers keep the informality of a hedgerow rather than the stiffness of a bouquet. The garland structure gives the design an easy rhythm across the width. It is named after Chelwood Gate in the Ashdown Forest.

The cloth is woven from 82 per cent viscose and 18 per cent linen, 140 centimetres wide, made in the United Kingdom, and sits at a versatile 311 grams per square metre.

With a Martindale rating of 30,000 rubs it will take everyday upholstery in its stride, and it gathers softly for curtains, where the garland reads as a gentle, repeating wave.
