Chicot is a small-scale weave in which vertical and horizontal stripes of colour are intersected by broken diagonal lines, creating a subtle prism effect that shifts as the eye moves across it. It works as a semi-plain in a scheme, with far more going on than first appears.
Woven in Italy at a generous 146 centimetres from a blend of viscose, linen, polyester and cotton, it weighs 470 grams per square metre and handles softly.
