Nina Campbell | Colbert

Colbert is an arrangement of 1930s stylised leaf formations, the foliage drawn with the period's confident, graphic economy so the pattern sits somewhere between botany and ornament. It borrows its name from Jean-Baptiste Colbert, Louis XIV's Minister of Finance and a moving force behind the Compagnie des Indes.

It is made in the United Kingdom on a 150 gram paper. The stylised drawing gives it more polish than a naturalistic leaf paper, which suits drawing rooms, dining rooms, studies and halls, and it provides a settled, rhythmic ground for furniture of most periods.
