Coudreau gathers hand-painted mosaic tile patterns into a patchwork, each square held within a lattice so the whole reads as a wall of collected tiles. The squares vary as they repeat, which gives the cloth the pleasure of variety inside a disciplined frame.
Printed in the United Kingdom on a linen union of linen, cotton and polyamide at 140 centimetres, it has a dry, substantial handle. It makes curtains and blinds with real character, and suits cushions, upholstered stools and headboards; the gridded layout is forgiving to cut and easy to pattern-match. Kitchens, garden rooms and bathrooms take to it naturally.
