Dômiers is a monochrome stripe painted to resemble the bands of a picot braid, so each stripe carries a delicately toothed, handworked edge rather than a ruled line. It is named after the group of artists who gathered regularly at the Café du Dôme in Paris.
Printed in the United Kingdom, it does what a good stripe should, lending height and order to a room, while the painterly braid detail keeps it soft at close range. Bedrooms, studies and halls all take it well, on its own or as a ground for pictures.
