Delphine sets large twin-coloured maple leaves within an ogee, printed on a textured woven linen, so the sweep of the traditional ogee framework is filled with broad, confident foliage. The name is a French one, meaning woman from Delphi, and the design has that kind of assured, classical poise.

It is printed in the United Kingdom on 100 per cent linen, 138 centimetres wide, the woven texture showing gently through the print.

A large-scale print of this character is at its best where it can hang at length, curtains, blinds and panels, and on cushions, headboards and occasional chairs.
