Nina Campbell | Elcho

Elcho is an all-over pattern of small-scale stylised leaves, printed on linen union, the foliage drawn simply and repeated closely so the cloth reads as a gentle, even texture with a botanical pulse. It is named after Elcho Castle, a fortified mansion in a fine setting on the River Tay.

It is printed in the United Kingdom on a union of 60 per cent cotton and 40 per cent linen, 140 centimetres wide, with a dry, natural face.

A Martindale rating of 25,000 rubs suits it to domestic chairs, stools, cushions and headboards, and its small scale makes it one of the easiest prints to use at the window, for curtains and blinds in rooms of any size.
