Mabel Stripe is a multi-coloured woven stripe bordered with an embroidered trefoil, so the crisp geometry of the stripe is finished with a decorative, hand-worked edge. It is named after Mabel Lucie Attwell and drawn in five colourways to sit within Nina Campbell's wider palette.
The cloth is woven in India from cotton and linen with a little polyester, 131 centimetres wide at a light-to-mid 220 grams per square metre, the natural fibres giving it a dry, honest hand.
The embroidered border makes it a natural for curtains, blinds and cushions, where the trefoil edge can be shown deliberately, and for upholstery on occasional pieces where the stitching is treated kindly.
