Madeleine embroiders a medley of meadow flowers in a meandering trail across linen, a design that recalls the spirit of chintz florals while replacing print with stitch. The raised threadwork gives each bloom a gentle relief, so the pattern catches light as well as colour.
Made in India at 132 centimetres on a linen and viscose ground, it is a substantial embroidered cloth at 500 grams per square metre. It is best where the needlework can be seen and touched, cushions, headboards, occasional chairs, and curtains that turn the trail into a feature of its own.
