Miran is a woven design of interlocking leaves, the forms fitting together across the cloth in a rhythm that reads as pattern from a distance and as texture up close. Set against natural grounds, it is a leaf design in the understated English manner, structured without being stiff.
Woven in Italy at 142 centimetres from a blend of viscose, polyester and linen, it is a substantial cloth of 700 grams per square metre with real body in the hand. A Martindale result of 35,000 rubs places it best on curtains, blinds, cushions and occasional chairs, where its weight helps it hang and tailor well.
