Nina Campbell | Montceaux Braid

Montceaux Braid is a generous woven braid from Nina Campbell's trimmings collection, fifteen centimetres deep, which places it at the architectural end of the trimming family, less an edging than a band in its own right. At this width a braid can define a whole element, the base of a valance, the border of a curtain, the frame of a wall panel.

It is woven in India from a near-even blend of cotton and viscose with a little polyester, giving it body and a soft, matt-to-gentle lustre. It is at its best run in long, deliberate lines, curtain leading edges, pelmets, the lower edge of blinds, and bordered cushions of real scale.
