Nina Campbell | Paracas

Paracas is a multi-patterned upholstery stripe evocative of Peruvian craftsmanship, each band carrying its own small motif in the manner of woven Andean textiles. It is named for the culture that flourished on Peru's coast between 400 BC and AD 700, weavers of some of the finest cloth the ancient world produced.

Woven in France from viscose, cotton, wool and polyamide at 138 centimetres, it has a dense, handcrafted feel and a rub test of 20,000 for general domestic use, occasional chairs, stools, benches, cushions. A single piece upholstered in it brings a collected, travelled quality to a room of plains.
