Pencarrow is a tonal, textured semi-plain woven in pure linen, its interest carried in the slub and grain of the yarn rather than any drawn motif. The tone-on-tone weave gives the surface gentle depth, a plain with weather in it.

Woven in Italy at a generous 145 centimetres, it has linen's dry, cool handle and a rub test of 20,000, suited to curtains, blinds, cushions and lighter upholstery, occasional chairs, bedroom pieces, loose covers. It is the sort of cloth a scheme rests on, giving pattern elsewhere in the room something honest to stand against.
