Nina Campbell | Saint-Cloud Fringe

Saint-Cloud Fringe is a decorative fringe from Nina Campbell's trimmings collection, seven centimetres deep, a proper skirted edge rather than a token one. A fringe at this depth has movement, it sways when a curtain is drawn and softens the hard line where upholstery meets frame, which is precisely the work it is made for.

It is made in China from a blend led by viscose with linen, cotton and supporting fibres, a mix that gives the strands a soft lustre and a good weight in the hand. It finishes the base of a sofa or ottoman, the leading edge of curtains, and the lower edge of cushions and lampshades with equal conviction.
