Nina Campbell | Tagus

Tagus is a moiré of vertical bands, the watered-silk effect drifting down the wall in soft, shifting verticals. It is named after the river whose estuary reaches the sea at Lisbon, and the pattern does read like light on slow water.

Printed in the United Kingdom, it behaves as fine semi-plains do, giving walls movement and depth without a drawn motif, and its vertical grain adds height to a room. It is a natural background for pictures and furniture, suits halls, dining rooms and bedrooms alike, and comes into its own in the evening, when the moiré catches lamplight.
