Tigris is a small-scale stripe in which each band carries its own pattern, so the cloth reads as many ribbons laid side by side, lively at close range, orderly from a distance. It has the collected, layered feel of folk textiles without their weight.
Printed in the United Kingdom on a linen union of linen, cotton and polyamide at 140 centimetres, it has a rub test of 45,000, thoroughly practical for everyday upholstery, dining chairs, stools, window seats, as well as curtains and blinds. The narrow repeat cuts economically, and a little of it, a cushion, a bench, goes a long way.
