Nina Campbell | Trianon Bauble

Trianon Bauble is a decorative trimming, three centimetres deep, from Nina Campbell's trimmings collection. As the name suggests, it is built around small rounded forms strung along its length, giving a neat, rhythmic edge rather than a showy one, the kind of finishing detail that reads as consideration rather than decoration.

It is made from a mixed-fibre blend with a soft matt character and produced in China. A trimming at this scale earns its keep on the leading edge of curtains, along the base of a lampshade or valance, and around cushions, where it defines the seam and gives a plain cloth a finished, dressed quality without changing its temper.
