Nina Campbell | Trianon Cord

Trianon Cord is a fine twisted cord, one centimetre in diameter, from Nina Campbell's trimmings collection. A cord this slender is the most discreet of trimmings, less an ornament than a drawn line, following a seam around a cushion or tracing the edge of an upholstered frame so the join reads as intended rather than merely sewn.

It is made in China from a viscose-led blend of mixed fibres, twisted firmly so it holds a clean profile and takes corners without collapsing. It belongs on cushion seams, the edges of loose covers and upholstered furniture, and anywhere a small, definite outline will settle a piece and quietly sharpen it.
