Nina Campbell | Troubadour

Troubadour is a fine plain ottoman, the classic ribbed weave in which a slender horizontal cord gives an otherwise plain cloth structure and a soft, regular rhythm. The rib is small enough to read as texture rather than stripe, and the handle is notably soft for a cloth with this much order in it.

It is woven in Italy from a near-even blend of cotton and viscose, 142 centimetres wide, the viscose lending a slight, quiet lustre along the ribs.

Rated at 20,000 Martindale rubs, it serves domestic chairs, stools and cushions well, and it tailors beautifully, piping, borders and neat upholstered detail, wherever a disciplined plain is wanted.
