Abacus Velvet is a sleek, even velvet with no pattern to distract from the pile itself, which takes light smoothly along its surface and colour deeply into it.
Woven in Italy from flame-retardant polyester, it is 139 centimetres wide and 85.5gsm. A Martindale result of 90,000 makes it a thoroughly hard-working velvet, specified with contract upholstery in mind, which is to say it will shrug off anything a domestic sofa or dining chair can ask of it.
