Osborne & Little | Addo

Addo is an elephant hide design worked in velvet, the creased, weathered texture of the skin drawn in pile so it reads as landscape at a distance and as hide up close. Like the best animal textures it behaves as a plain with a past.

The cloth is 100 per cent polyester velvet on a 140cm width at around 60gsm. An abrasion result of 100,000 rubs puts it at the hardest-working end of upholstery service, sofas, dining chairs and benches in constant use, and the pile gives cushions and curtains an unusually deep, matt richness.
