Alveare covers the cloth in small interlocking hexagons with a soft, raised finish, a honeycomb rendered in texture so the geometry reads as warmth rather than precision. At a distance it settles into an even, inviting surface.
It is woven in Italy from viscose and cotton, 57 and 43 per cent, on a 137cm width at a substantial 88gsm. An abrasion result of 100,000 rubs puts it into the hardest-working class of upholstery, sofas and chairs in constant use, and the dimensional surface gives cushions and curtains a depth a flat weave cannot manage.
