Birr runs a vertical chenille chevron up the cloth in a manner that resembles cable stitching, the soft pile rows standing against the ground like a knitted texture rendered in weaving.
Woven in Italy from cotton and viscose with polyester, it is 142 centimetres wide and 88.9gsm. With a rub test result of 27,000 it is best used decoratively, curtains, blinds, cushions and occasional chairs, where the softness of the chenille is the pleasure and hard wear is not asked of it.
