Bossa Nova intersects zig-zagging shapes woven in looped and cut piles, a bold velvet whose angular dynamism is drawn as much by the change of surface as by colour, cut pile against loop, sheen against matt.
Woven in Belgium from viscose with polyester, it is 137 centimetres wide and a substantial 696gsm. With a rub test result of 25,000 it is best used decoratively, on cushions, headboards and occasional chairs, or in curtains where its weight falls into deep, emphatic folds.
